Our story
Dario's is owned and run by Dario and Rossella, an authentic Italian couple. It's a coffee bar, a restaurant and a family feast all at once.
On the menu: Roman-style pizza, gourmet burgers, pasta, piadine, salads, sandwiches and cakes baked in-house. We're fully licensed, so there's ice-cold beer, wine and grappa too. With fast Wi-Fi, a kids' play area and gift vouchers, there's room at the table for everyone, from a quick espresso to a birthday or baby shower.

Mattina · Morning coffee
Coffee is the heart of Dario's: espresso, macchiato, a proper Italian cappuccino and lattes, with croissants, muffins and banana bread baked in-house.

Home-made potato rösti, poached eggs and fresh bread. Try the Monte Pollino or Eggs in Purgatory, keep it light with a granola bowl, or build your own omelette.
Pranzo · Lunch
A home-made base, rolled thin and baked crisp, topped with pomodoro and mozzarella the Italian way. Gluten-free base on request, plus pasta, piadine and the Bay Burger.
Dolci · Something sweet
The Italian classic, the cake of the day or an affogato with grappa. And since we're fully licensed: ice-cold beer, wine, grappa and an Aperol spritz on the bar.
Pizza Party Stravaganza
At a Dario's pizza party, the bambini put on chef hats, roll out their own dough and top their own pizzas. Then comes the best part.

A little slice of Italy in the heart of Hout Bay. I love this place, everything about it is authentic, owner run, and the staff are just so friendly and warm. A must go to!
Consistently good. Good service, good food, good atmos. Best coffee in a ‘sit down’ venue in Hout Bay.
Vegan friendly, with the menu clearly labelled. I enjoyed a cappuccino and one of the vegan burgers. Both were tasty!
